The programme of activities for our open day on 15th October, as part of the Sidmouth Science Festival, is now available.
The official launching of our restored 19th Century Orrery was featured in the Sidmouth Herald. The launch was conducted by Allan Chapman FRAS with some of the volunteers who worked hard on the restoration.

Talk on what it’s like to live aboard the Space Station and get to use a VR headset and take a virtual tour of the ISS.

“Space Weather Woman” – Dr Tamitha Skov is to visit the NLO on January 13th 2017 at 4.30pm. She has very kindly agreed to give a short talk about Space Weather and meet space weather enthusiasts. All welcome.

Calling all NLO members – come along to the Observer Group Messier Challenge!
We will attempt to find the 96 Messier objects that should be visible in one night between dusk and dawn at this time of year
Plans are for the night of Saturday 29 October – Dave Alexander is coordinating so please contact him if you are interested. He will give full details at NLO members meeting on Friday 27th
The Norman Lockyer Observatory will be open from 11am to 4pm for our family day as part of the Sidmouth Science Festival.
