Membership is open to all. There are no different classes of membership and a member of the Society is free to enter into all its groups and activities. All members under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
Members can attend public openings for free, and also attend member’s evenings on Fridays. Another benefit of membership is that you can be trained to operate our historic telescopes.
The current cost of membership is £25.00 p.a. (April to March), £40 for a joint adult membership and £10.00 for children under 18.
A membership form can be downloaded here.
Those members paying the £25.00 subscription have full voting rights in all general meetings (such as the AGM) and are asked to become guarantors of a sum not to exceed £10 were the Society ever to be liquidated.
