All NLO members are warmly invited to a Telescopes Workshop on Friday 31st May at the NLO, starting 7.30pm.
Whether you are just starting out, or have already begun but need some advice, or you are experienced and are willing to share some of what you have learnt… then this evening is for you!
Please note there are no formal talks scheduled for the evening.
We will have telescopes of different types set up indoors for you to see. The main aim of the workshop is for members to have fun and chat informally about astronomy equipment; how to choose what’s best for you, what to buy next, how to use it and how to get the most out of it – whether you’re looking through or taking images!
If the sky is clear later in the evening then we will go outside to observe – so do bring warm clothing and of course binoculars are always welcome too!
Anyone with a portable
telescope who is either seeking advice about it or is happy to show
others and answer questions, should arrive with their equipment just
before 7.30pm to give time to set up.
The workshope will take place in the new Jeanne Edyvean Center (JEC).
If you have any other questions about the evening then please contact Alan Smith ( mr.alanjsmith@yahoo.co.uk ) or Mark Stephens ( marklstephens@btinternet.com ).
