Open Evening on 3rd March cancelled
The scheduled open evening on Saturday 3rd March has been cancelled due to weather conditions.
The observatory is at the top of a steep hill on a country road and there is likely to be significant snow or ice, making conditions for visitors and members hazardous.
Awards Evening 2017
This year’s awards evening saw many astroscouts, observers and imagers getting awards for their work during 2017.
Sidmouth Science Festival 2017
The programme of activities for our open day on 15th October, as part of the Sidmouth Science Festival, is now available.
Restored Orrery featured in Sidmouth Herald
The official launching of our restored 19th Century Orrery was featured in the Sidmouth Herald. The launch was conducted by Allan Chapman FRAS with some of the volunteers who worked hard on the restoration.

Talk on what it’s like to live aboard the Space Station and get to use a VR headset and take a virtual tour of the ISS.
