Sunset walk and storytelling under the stars

Saturday 7th May, 8pm. Free entry.

The evening will start with a walk out to the Frogstone on Salcombe Hill from the Norman Lockyer Observatory. We hope to spot Mercury in the evening sky as the sunsets.

We will then have a storytelling session around the firepit with local storyteller Janet Dowling.

Finally as the sky darkens we will have an outside planetarium show pointing out the constellation and brightest stars. Viewing through telescopes will also be available if sky conditions allow.

Refreshments will be available from the Coffee Horsebox. In the event of inclement weather the walk will take place but the rest of the event will be held undercover in our planetarium.

Please allow two hours for your visit, dress up warmly and please bring a torch and chair/blanket to sit on.
