The observatory contains several historic and modern telescopes, along with a planetarium, radio astronomy equipment and displays of astronomical information.

The Lockyer Technology Centre has our radio astronomy systems including meteor detection.

In the main building there is also a lecture theatre, and a number of historic and educational displays.

We have also restored a 19th Century Orrery (mechanical solar system model) to working order.
